The Middle East is a region where vehicle is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of moving.

But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have pressed up the price of oil, the concern of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered .

In a region that has one of the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one company is taking benefit of the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing rewarding too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
